Chelsea: €70 million bid for Nicolas Jackson

The humiliating 4-0 defeat to Brighton on the opening day of the Premier League has prompted Birmingham club officials to act to satisfy Unai Emery. Nicolas Jackson could be signing soon.

According to information from Foot Mercato, this weekend's defeat pushed Aston Villa to make significant progress in the Nicolas Jackson file. Not retained by Bayern Munich, the Senegalese striker returned to Chelsea, who no longer count on him.

Ambitious and in search of a striker, Aston Villa have now made a €70 million offer, bonuses included, for the Senegal international. This bid is on the verge of being accepted by the London club's management, who had set a price tag of around €75 million. At the same time, the Villans are also working on the recruitment of Frenchman Jean-Philippe Mateta.
