Mykhailo Mudryk is at the center of a real earthquake. The Chelsea FC winger has been handed a four-year ban by the English FA after violating anti-doping regulations.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs (talkSPORT), the Ukrainian international is challenging the decision and has brought his case before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in hopes of reducing his punishment. It all began in December 2024, when Mudryk tested positive for meldonium during a training camp with the Ukrainian national team. Further analysis confirmed the presence of this banned substance.

Mudryk went to CAS, filing documents on 25 February, 2026.

Since then, Mudryk has been excluded from the first-team squad and is no longer allowed to train with Chelsea, forced to maintain his fitness in extremely limited conditions. Under contract until 2031, his future now hinges on the CAS verdict: a reduced ban could see him return sooner, but if the four-year suspension is upheld, his career would be in serious jeopardy.
