Crystal Palace set to extend contract of young goalkeeper

Dean Henderson is expected to continue his adventure with Crystal Palace. According to the Daily Mail, the 29-year-old goalkeeper has reached an agreement with the club's management to extend his contract until the summer of 2030. A reward for his performances since joining the club in 2023.

Henderson has become indispensable at Palace

Having arrived from Manchester United in the summer of 2023, Henderson quickly established himself as Crystal Palace's first-choice goalkeeper. He has already made 119 appearances in all competitions for the London club.

His performances notably attracted the interest of Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa during the last transfer window. Palace therefore wanted to secure the future of their goalkeeper, whose current contract ran until 2028.

The club's highest-paid goalkeeper

The new agreement should allow Dean Henderson to remain at Palace until 2030. According to the Daily Mail, he would also become the highest-paid player in the squad. The contract extension comes as Crystal Palace have taken just three points from their first four Premier League matches.

Capped six times by England, Henderson now intends to continue his development in the English capital. The agreement must now be officially confirmed by Crystal Palace.
