Elsharimi edges closer to Club Africain and turns his back on Zamalek!

Libyan player Osama Elsharimi arrived in Tunis this Tuesday, as reported by local radio Mosaïque FM, to finalize his transfer to Club Africain after a full agreement was reached with his former club, Al-Swehly.

Elsharimi will undergo his medical this Wednesday before officially signing his contract, making him one of the marquee signings of the Bab Jedid club's summer transfer window.

After a stellar season with Al-Swehly, he featured in 24 matches, netted 7 goals, and provided 3 assists—solidifying his reputation as a dynamic and decisive attacking midfielder.

Upon his arrival, he will join a growing Libyan contingent already present at Club Africain, notably Ali Youssef and Fahd Al-Masmari, further strengthening the team’s cohesion and harmony.

Meanwhile, Club Africain has announced the amicable termination of its contract with French head coach David Bettoni, as well as his assistant Farid Thabet and fitness coach Arthur Huchéde.
A financial settlement equivalent to three months’ salary was reached, allowing the club to close this chapter without any dispute with FIFA.
