Exclusive interview: Yves Diba Ilunga names the greatest Congolese and African player of all time

Former DR Congo striker Yves Diba Ilunga has chosen the greatest Congolese and African footballer of all time in an interview with Foot Africa.

The greatest Congolese of all time will always be Pierre Ndaye Mulamba, may he rest in peace. He holds the record for most goals scored in a single AFCON tournament, which is no small feat. As for the greatest African player ever, I choose the Cameroonian football legend Samuel Eto'o. His character and his drive to ensure African players are respected internationally deserve the highest praise.

The president of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has won it all, both at club level and with the 'Indomitable Lions'.

In this regard, he notably won three editions of the Champions League, with both FC Barcelona and Inter Milan.

Moreover, he clinched the gold medal at the 2000 Olympic Games and lifted the Africa Cup of Nations twice.
