FIFA Boss Salutes Pyramids’ Historic CAF Champions League Success

Pyramids FC made history by clinching their first ever CAF Champions league title after defeating South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns 2 - 1 in the 2nd leg following 1 - 1 draw in the 1st leg.

Infantino Congratulates African Champions

FIFA President Gianni Infantino sent heartfelt message to Pyramids FC, stating:

"Congratulations to Pyramids FC for winning the 2024 – 2025 CAF Champions Lleague on Sunday 1 Jun. I extend my sincere congratulations on this historic achievement and your qualification for the 2029 fifa Club World cup"

He also praised everyone involved:

"I salute the players, the coach, the technical and medical staff and of course the fans. This success reflects hard work, professionalism, passion and love for the game"

Next Target: Egypt Cup Glory

Pyramids now shift focus to their next major test as they prepare to face Zamalek on Thursday 5 Jun, in the Egypt cup final. The newly crowned continental champions are aiming for domestic double to cap off dream season.
