FIFA: UEFA again demands Gianni Infantino's departure
FIFA president Gianni Infantino no longer enjoys unanimous support.
This Thursday, UEFA members gathered in Berlin. They once again called for a change in FIFA's presidency, directly targeting the head of the governing body, Gianni Infantino. “The national associations reiterated that they had lost confidence in FIFA's current leadership,” said a statement from the European confederation.
The statement also says: “Institutional reform alone will not be enough. FIFA also needs new leadership: a respected and unifying figure, deeply rooted in football, with the vision and experience to lead, capable of inspiring trust across the regions and showing an unequivocal commitment to development, reform, integrity and independence.”
