France: Frank Magri sidelined by Toulouse FC until the end of the season
Toulouse FC has made a bold decision regarding Frank Magri. The Cameroonian striker, whose contract runs until June 2026, will no longer feature for Les Violets after refusing to extend his deal.
Until this morning, Magri was expected to be part of the squad traveling to Parc des Princes to face PSG. Having just returned after more than two months out with a knee injury, the Cameroon international appeared ready to get back into action. However, Olivier Cloarec and Viktor Bezhani have announced that the player will not take part in any further matches this season, barring an unlikely change of circumstances.
Magri makes his choice
His refusal to extend his contract triggered this decision. The club had made several offers to convince Magri to stay, but all were turned down. Last summer, Swansea even submitted a bid of more than 4 million euros, which was rejected by the Toulouse board. Some observers believe this decision could prove costly for TFC, who are already struggling to find effective strikers.
