Gernot Rohr: "Africa is football passion, love for the shirt"

During a recent interview, Gernot Rohr, head coach of Benin's Cheetahs, spoke about his love for football in Africa.

Speaking to Monaco Matin and Aquitélé, Gernot Rohr—who recently extended his contract as Benin's national coach—shared his deep affection for Africa. The former Bordeaux man has previously managed Gabon, Niger, Burkina Faso, and Nigeria before taking charge of Benin. Clearly, he is no stranger to African football.

"An extraordinary adventure. Africa is football passion, love for the shirt, loyalty to values that are increasingly rare in today’s football business. I am deeply attached to my team, to my players." revealed the German coach.
