June international break: Keita Balde to represent a European selection

Former Senegal international Keita Balde has been called up by the Catalonia national team for the upcoming international break, scheduled for June.

Born in Arbúcies, in the province of Girona, Catalonia, he is eligible to wear the Catalan shirt.

He will take part on Wednesday, May 28, in the match against the Costa Rican national team at the Johan Cruyff Stadium.

Not recognized by UEFA or FIFA, the Catalonia national team is limited to playing friendly matches during international breaks.

Keita Balde remains eligible to represent the Senegal national team, having made his last appearance for the "Lions" in 2022 during an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda.
