Levski Sofia, the current leaders of the Bulgarian First League, have reportedly moved into pole position to secure the signing of Cameroonian striker Bertrand Fourrier. The prolific forward, who plays for fellow Sofia-based club Septemvri, has emerged as a top winter transfer target.

Despite his team's mid-table struggles, Fourrier has been a shining light this season, netting 10 league goals and establishing himself as a clinical finisher. His consistent performances in front of goal have not gone unnoticed, attracting interest from several quarters, including clubs from Turkey in recent weeks.

However, it appears Levski Sofia has now taken a decisive lead in the race for his signature. According to sources, formal discussions are already underway, with the aim of finalizing a transfer during the upcoming January window. The 24-year-old from Douala is understood to be receptive to the move, as a switch within the same city would eliminate the typical challenges of relocation and adaptation, allowing him to focus immediately on his football.

Fourrier's current contract with Septemvri Sofia runs until 2027.
