Ligue 1: The top 5 best African players
The 2024-2025 edition of Ligue 1 has been defined by the outstanding performances of African players.
The top honor goes to Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, Paris Saint-Germain’s right-back, who claimed the prestigious title of Ligue 1’s best African player thanks to a tally of 4 goals and 6 assists, according to stats from the specialist site whoscored.

He edged out Moses Simon, the dazzling Nigerian winger, who scored 8 goals and provided 10 assists for FC Nantes.
The third spot in this African ranking was taken by Algerian Hichem Boudaoui, the valiant OGC Nice midfielder, who notched up 2 goals and 3 assists.

Meanwhile, Senegal’s Lamine Camara, ranked 4th, shone for AS Monaco, scoring 2 goals and delivering 7 assists in 25 appearances.
Finally, Ivorian midfielder Hamed Traoré secured 5th place thanks to his 10-goal, 2-assist performance with AJ Auxerre.
