It was Rodez head coach Didier Santini who broke the unfortunate news, confirming a two-month layoff. As a result, Younoussa will be unavailable for the opening matches of the league campaign.

The French Ligue 2 season kicks off on August 9, 2025. Rodez will host Nancy in their opening fixture.

The Tochllire (Cameroon) native, who has played for Rodez since 2022, made 34 Ligue 2 appearances last season, scoring once and providing two assists.
