Morocco pushes hard for Anass Salah-Eddine

The Atlas Lions will be squaring off next June against Benin and Tunisia as part of their preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
According to Moroccan newspaper Almountakhab, head coach Walid Regragui recently met with the camp of Anass Salah-Eddine, the AS Roma left-back, to persuade him to switch his sporting nationality from Dutch to Moroccan.

A former youth international for the Netherlands, Salah-Eddine remains eligible to wear the "Atlas Lions" jersey.

At 23 years old, the Amsterdam native was developed at AZ Alkmaar and Ajax Amsterdam.
During the last winter transfer window, he joined AS Roma from Twente for a fee of 8.5 million euros.
