New FIFA ranking: Excellent progress for Algeria

The Fennecs have moved up one spot in the FIFA rankings, overtaking Paraguay, a team that regularly features at the World Cup. This latest leap highlights the resurgence of Vladimir Petković's squad, who are now riding a wave of positive momentum both in terms of results and style of play.

And the upward trajectory may not stop there. If Algeria manages to secure a win against Uganda next week at the Hocine Aït Ahmed Stadium in Tizi Ouzou, they could edge even closer to the global elite, narrowing the gap to just 11 points from the Top 30. Such a result would firmly cement their return to the highest level of international football.
