Newcastle Boss Shuts Down Transfer Rumors Around Alexander Isak
Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe's firmly dismissed speculation linking Alexander Isak with summer move stressing the Swedish forward isn't for sale.
Liverpool, Al Hilal Linked - But No Formal Offers
Isak's been heavily linked with big money move to Liverpool & Saudi giants Al Hilal during the ongoing transfer window. However Howe made it clear that no official bids have been submitted for the 24 year old striker.
Howe: "We must keep our irreplaceable stars"
Speaking to The Athletic, Howe said:
“There hasn't been any official move for Isak. The club's very keen to keep him. We've players who are simply irreplaceable , top talents are rare and hard to develop”
Isak Happy at Newcastle
Howe added:
"When you've someone like Isak, you must hold on to him. He’s happy here, loves the team and I’ve never had any issues with him. While I can’t guarantee anything 100%, I’m confident Isak will be with us at the start of the new season"
Isak who scored 21 goal in all competitions last season remains a key piece of Howe’s long term project at St. James Park.
