Official: Carlos Baleba joins Manchester United

Manchester United have just announced the arrival of Carlos Baleba from Brighton, with a transfer fee of €82 million.

The Red Devils from Manchester United have moved to secure their third midfielder in this summer's transfer window. The player in question is Cameroonian international Carlos Baleba. He joins from Brighton for a reported sum of £70 million, approximately €82 million.

"Manchester United are pleased to confirm that Carlos Baleba has joined the club, subject to registration. The Cameroonian international has signed a contract until June 2031, with an option for an additional year," stated the Old Trafford club in their official announcement.

Carlos Baleba comes off a successful spell at Brighton

Arriving in Brighton in August 2023 after only 23 appearances for Lille, the Cameroonian quickly established himself as a key figure for the Seagulls. Under Roberto De Zerbi for one season, then Fabian Hürzeler, Carlos Baleba stood out with his impressive work rate, ball-winning ability, and forward thrust. Across three seasons, he featured in 112 matches for the English club, scoring four goals and providing two assists (6,552 minutes played).
