Official: Ronaldinho to play again, date announced

Retired for years, Ronaldinho is set to lace up his boots once again.

Ravenna FC, the club in which the Brazilian superstar has acquired a stake, announced that Ronaldinho will play his first minutes for the Italian club on 15 November. It will come during the derby against Forlì in Serie C.

As a reminder, an agreement was reached last August for the former PSG and FC Barcelona attacking midfielder to play at least one official match.

“The long-awaited date has finally been set: Sunday 15 November at 5:30 p.m., the Brazilian legend will put on the Ravenna FC shirt for the derby against Forlì. An event that will draw the eyes of the entire world to the Bruno Benelli stadium… There are players we remember for their exploits, and others for the magic they were able to conjure. Ronaldinho belongs to that rare category of champions capable of transforming football into pure happiness: an unpredictable move, a stroke of genius, a smile that has brought entire stadiums and generations of fans together.
