Three days before the Clásico between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid at Spotify Camp Nou, Jürgen Klopp gave his view on this unmissable fixture.

The Germany coach admitted that he never misses the Clásico between the two La Liga giants. Questioned by DAZN, the German coach even showed a slight preference for the Blaugrana. “It’s a match I love watching. Today, I simply support the better team. And given the current situation, that team is probably FC Barcelona,” he said.

The German coach also revealed that he had long supported the Catalan club in previous Clásicos. To explain this former sympathy for FC Barcelona, Jürgen Klopp did not hesitate to take a slight dig at Pepe, the former iconic Real Madrid defender. “In the past, I supported Barcelona more because I hated seeing Pepe and the other defenders dish out kicks to everyone who went past them at the time. That was the only reason why I supported Barcelona more,” the German said.
