Once again, nothing is going Kylian Mbappé’s way with the 70th Ballon d’Or ceremony now just three days away. A journalist has once again criticised the French forward.

Next Monday, we will finally learn the identity of the 2026 Ballon d’Or winner. Three favourites have emerged in the final hours before the ceremony: Lamine Yamal, Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappé. The Frenchman has also embarked on a major media campaign in the hope of winning the most prestigious individual trophy in world football for the first time.

According to journalist Antón Meana, Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé does not deserve it. “Kane outperformed him in every respect: he scored more goals, knocked him out of the Champions League and beat him at the World Cup. In addition, Kane won titles in Germany. Through his message, Mbappé gave the impression that he had enjoyed a better season than the one he actually had,” he said on El Larguero, broadcast on Cadena SER radio.
