Abdoulaye Faye arrives in Germany. On Friday, June 27, 2025, Bayer Leverkusen officially announced the signing of the young Senegalese centre-back. He has penned a five-year deal with Die Werkself.

"Bayer 04 Leverkusen have signed Senegalese central defender Abdoulaye Faye. The 20-year-old joins the Bundesliga club from BK Häcken, a Swedish top-flight side. Faye has signed a contract with Leverkusen until June 30, 2030," the club wrote in an official statement.

Leverkusen have secured a modern-profile young star. Abdoulaye Faye comes in to bolster the backline for the long term. The club reportedly spent nearly €3 million and is committed to giving him playing time, likely through an immediate loan move in Germany or elsewhere.
