OM: Aubameyang compares Ligue 1 to the Saudi Pro League

In a recent statement, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made a bold announcement about the Saudi Pro League and France's Ligue 1.

Often regarded as the weakest league among Europe's top five, Ligue 1 is frequently compared to the Saudi Pro League. After explosive comments from Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has now weighed in.

In an interview with OM's media, the Gabonese striker also shared his perspective. And it's quite surprising—according to him, Saudi clubs have what it takes to compete in Ligue 1. "Honestly, the top five teams in the Saudi league could easily play in the French league! As for the teams below that, we'll see. I'm not so sure. The pace is different, partly because of the temperatures. But having played against those (top five) teams, I really think they have the level to compete in Ligue 1," Aubameyang declared.

France has been warned. Saudi Arabia could overtake them in the coming years.
