PSG: Collectif Ultras takes a dig at Emmanuel Macron
Collectif Ultras Paris has publicly expressed its opposition to French President Emmanuel Macron.
On Saturday evening, Collectif Ultras Paris continued its support for the high school students taking part in protests during Paris Saint-Germain's 3-1 victory over Le Mans. This came notably after the banner reading “Your militias repress, our youth resists” was quickly removed by security at the Parc des Princes.
The supporters in the Virage Auteuil even made their voices heard against Macronism.
The Ultras oppose Macron
In the stands, the Parisian supporters' collective sang a chant well known from social protests. The aim was to show its support for the student movement and its opposition to the President of the Republic.

“We are here, we are here! Even if Macron doesn't want us to be, we are here! For the honour of workers and for a better world, even if Macron doesn't want us to be, we are here!” the Parisian ultras chanted. This latest stance goes beyond the sporting sphere and extends the controversy surrounding the banner displayed during the match.
The CUP thus reaffirmed its support for the high school students taking part in the protests, on an evening when the political content of the stands became a major part of the news surrounding PSG.
