PSG: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to undergo surgery on this date

The bad news for Paris Saint-Germain is that they will have to finish the season without Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Severely injured in his right knee during the victory over FC Barcelona (4-2) last Tuesday in the Champions League, the Georgian international is suffering from a torn cruciate ligament, the club announced on Wednesday. The injury is so serious that it requires surgery.

Kvaratskhelia to undergo surgery at the beginning of the week

The surgery is scheduled for the beginning of the week in Doha, Qatar, at the Aspetar clinic. The exact date of the operation has not yet been revealed. According to information from L’Équipe, the Parisian forward is due to undergo surgery in the coming days, at the beginning of next week.

While the precise length of his absence remains to be determined, there is little doubt that he will be out until the end of the season. A real blow for Luis Enrique, who is losing one of his main attacking assets for the most important fixtures of the campaign.
