SAFA confirms ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs draw

The South African Football Association (SAFA) has confirmed the draw for the highly-anticipated ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs on Tuesday.

With nine teams set to partake in the crucial playoffs, the round-robin group stages have been divided into three groups of three teams each.

The tournament will commence on Monday, 01 June until Sunday, 07 June at the Mthatha Stadium in the Eastern Cape.

Despite pending cases in other provinces, including Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal, all nine provinces are expected to have a representative, contrary to previous campaigns.

Limpopo will be represented by regulars Mpheni Home Defenders, while FC Ravens will represent Eastern Cape, as the Northern Cape has NC Professionals.

Moreover, NWU Soccer Institute will be the representative for the North West province. Mangaung United will represent Free State, while Western Cape have Hope FC.

Umvoti FC, Umsinga United, or Mkhambathi will step in for the KwaZulu-Natal amid pending cases.

Gauteng, similarly to KZN, has an unresolved case between Free Agents FC and La Masia.

While the two provinces are yet to deliver a verdict, Mpumalanga has dismissed Phezulu FC's appeal against Luthuli Brigades, who are now set to feature in the playoffs.
