Senegal are in serious danger on Thursday as they face the Democratic Republic of Congo in the third round of the U-20 AFCON group stage.

Currently sitting third in Group C with just one point to their name, the defending champions are under pressure to produce something special to avoid an early exit from the continental competition.

A draw may not be enough to secure a place among the two best third-placed teams who will advance to the quarterfinals.

Given the situation, the Young Lions have no choice but to beat the "Young Leopards" to book their ticket for the next round.

The task will be anything but easy against opponents who have made a strong impression in their first two outings, drawing 1-1 with Ghana and beating the Central African Republic 3-1.

With their backs against the wall, Senegal must produce their very best against DR Congo if they are to keep their U-20 AFCON campaign alive.
