Serhou Guirassy: Dortmund sets the price for his departure

Serhou Guirassy could leave Borussia Dortmund as early as next summer thanks to a special release clause set by the club. But this clause doesn't apply to just any team.

The clause is set at €50 million and applies only to the biggest clubs: Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool. For all other teams, such as those from the Saudi Pro League, Dortmund would only start negotiations at around €80 million.

The release clause will gradually decrease until the end of his contract in 2028 and will be set at €50 million starting in 2026. Among the interested clubs, FC Barcelona leads the race, looking for a successor to Robert Lewandowski next summer. Guirassy could become an attainable target if the clause is triggered or if Dortmund agrees to negotiate.
