SPL: Three Africans among the 10 highest-paid players!
The list of the highest-paid players in the Saudi Professional League (SPL) features three major African stars: Algeria’s Riyad Mahrez, Senegal’s Sadio Mané, and fellow Senegalese Kalidou Koulibaly.
According to Givemesport, Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo sits comfortably at the top, with a staggering weekly wage surpassing £3.49 million—setting a huge gap between him and his closest pursuers.
Riyad Mahrez is in second place, right behind the "CR7 phenomenon," narrowly edging out Frenchman Karim Benzema, the former Real Madrid striker.
The 2025-2026 Saudi league season is set to kick off on Thursday, August 28, and will wrap up on Thursday, May 21, 2026.
