Victor Osimhen scored again for Galatasaray against Başakşehir. He now has six goals and two assists in four appearances this season.

Victor Osimhen shows no signs of slowing down. The Nigerian striker found the net once again for Galatasaray on Friday night away to Başakşehir, scoring his sixth goal of the season in just four league appearances.

A goal in every appearance

Already on the scoresheet against Çorum FK, Erzurumspor FK and Göztepe, Osimhen extended his scoring run against Başakşehir. The Nigerian opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a shot that struck the crossbar before bouncing over the line. Following a VAR review, the goal was eventually awarded to Galatasaray.

The latest goal further underlines his impressive start to the season. Osimhen has now scored in each of his four Süper Lig appearances and has six goals and two assists to his name.

His record breaks down as follows: one goal and one assist against Göztepe, two goals and one assist against Erzurumspor FK, two goals against Çorum FK, and another goal against Başakşehir.

Osimhen already indispensable

With eight goal contributions in four matches, the Galatasaray striker has already established himself among the most decisive players in Turkish football.

His efficiency confirms the consistency he has shown since the beginning of the season. Game after game, Osimhen continues to deliver and is emerging as one of Galatasaray’s main attacking weapons.

A concern nonetheless

The evening could have been perfect. After scoring, Osimhen felt discomfort and was forced off in the 33rd minute, with Barış Alper Yılmaz coming on in his place. He appeared to hold his groin after a run.

The severity of the injury was not immediately known. His early departure is nevertheless a concern for Galatasaray, who will soon face Sporting CP in the Champions League.

For now, the key takeaway remains the Nigerian’s attacking form: six goals and two assists in four matches, with at least one goal in every league appearance this season.
