The best active Portuguese goalscorers... excluding Cristiano Ronaldo

The rift between Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal has taken on a new dimension after his departure from the national team camp, amid tensions surrounding his situation with the Seleção.

The Portuguese striker was reportedly upset by certain decisions made by Jorge Jesus, particularly regarding his management and status within the team.

This situation has raised questions about the relationship between the two men and Ronaldo’s place in the coach’s plans. Despite the controversy, Portugal responded on the pitch with an authoritative victory over Denmark.
