Toni Kroos remains attached to the Champions League even after retiring in the summer of 2024.

A six-time Champions League winner in his career, including five times with Real Madrid, Toni Kroos shared at an event in Madrid just how deep the obsession with Europe’s most prestigious competition runs at the club.

“When you win the Champions League, the very next day the president tells us to go for the next one. You can savor the victory for a few hours, but come the next day, the president is there saying: ‘Very good, and we’ll see you here again next year, same place, same trophy.’ It might sound trivial, but there’s never any respite. At this club, all we think about is the Champions League,” the former midfielder revealed.
