Trabzonspor delivered a commanding performance on Sunday, cruising to a 5-0 victory over Gençlerbirliği on matchday four of the Turkish Süper Lig. Paul Onuachu, Mohamed Salah and Franculino Dju were among the standout performers in an emphatic win for the Turkish side.

Paul Onuachu was the first to make his mark. The Nigerian striker opened the scoring in the 5th minute, finally getting off the mark in the league this season. After going goalless in his first three league appearances, Trabzonspor’s forward quickly rediscovered his scoring touch.

Mohamed Salah then followed suit. The Egyptian forward converted a penalty in the 14th minute to put Trabzonspor firmly in control at 2-0.

Onuachu was not finished, however. In the 22nd minute, the Nigerian striker scored his second goal of the game following a pass from Wagner Pina. He completed his first brace of the season and sent Trabzonspor into half-time with a commanding 3-0 lead.

Dju Scores on His Trabzonspor Debut

Trabzonspor continued their dominance after the break. Ernest Muçi added the fourth goal of the game before Franculino Dju put the finishing touch on the emphatic victory.

The Guinea-Bissau international joined Trabzonspor from Midtjylland on September 2 and was making his first appearance for the club. He wasted no time making an impact, scoring his first goal for Trabzonspor on his debut.

With this convincing victory, Trabzonspor have further strengthened their impressive start to the season. Paul Onuachu recorded his first brace of the campaign, Mohamed Salah scored his fourth goal in four league appearances, while Franculino Dju made the perfect start to his adventure in Turkey.

According to Opta, Mohamed Salah has become the first foreign player since the 2000/01 season to score in each of his first three starts for Trabzonspor, reaching four goals in those appearances.
