Initially linked with a move away, Achraf Dari now looks set to continue his journey with Al Ahly. The Moroccan defender remains under contract until June 2028.

The former Brest player endured a tough debut season with the Cairo giants. Plagued by injuries, he managed to make only 19 appearances across all competitions.

Dari started all three group stage matches at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup but was unable to provide the defensive solidity expected in the heart of the backline.

His father, Zouheir Dari—who also acts as his agent—dismissed any rumors of a split between player and club in a statement to FilGoal.

Al Ahly have no intention of letting Achraf Dari go. While he may not have met expectations yet, he is happy here and is determined to improve next season.

Achraf Dari not short of suitors

The 26-year-old has opted to continue his adventure in Egypt despite receiving four offers from France, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

Despite a mixed campaign, the Moroccan international (7 caps, 1 goal) lifted three trophies with Al Ahly: the Egyptian Premier League, the Egypt Super Cup, and the FIFA Africa-Asia-Pacific Cup.
