Transfer market: MC Alger learns the price to pay for Youcef Belaïli’s return

Rumors have recently suggested that Youcef Belaïli could make a sensational return to MC Alger this summer—just a year after the Algerian international left for Espérance Tunis. Now, MC Alger knows exactly how much they'll need to spend if a comeback is on the cards.

According to Compétition, Youcef Belaïli is interested in a surprise move back to Algeria. However, the deal will only go through if MC Alger and Espérance Tunis can reach an agreement.

Local media reports indicate that the two clubs are still far from finding common ground. In fact, Compétition reveals that the Blood and Gold have set the asking price for their star player—who was the club’s sole scorer at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup—at one million euros. That’s a hefty sum, especially considering the Fennec was sold for just €679,000 to make the move in the opposite direction last year.

The same source adds that MCA made an initial offer, which was rejected by EST, who then issued a counter-offer in response.
