Transfer window: Alexandre Mendy set to sign with Montpellier

Bissau-Guinean striker Alexandre Mendy is closing in on a move to Montpellier.

Although still under contract with Caen until 2026, Alexandre Mendy is on the verge of leaving Normandy following the club’s relegation to the National division. The all-time leading scorer for Stade Malherbe, the 31-year-old forward is preparing to turn the page.

According to Foot Mercato, a deal is close to being finalized with Montpellier for the transfer of the Bissau-Guinean striker. He is expected in Hérault within 48 hours to complete his medical and finalize his arrival.
