Transfer window: Orlando Gill closing in on Lille move
Lille is on the verge of finalizing the arrival of Orlando Gill. According to Fabrizio Romano and César Luis Merlo, the Paraguayan goalkeeper from San Lorenzo has already reached an agreement with the northern club regarding the terms of his future contract.
A transfer estimated at €3.6 million
The agreement between the parties is believed to be for a transfer fee of around €3.6 million. San Lorenzo will also retain a clause entitling them to 50% of any future resale of the goalkeeper.
Orlando Gill has been playing for San Lorenzo since September 2024 and has made 26 official appearances since the start of the 2026 season. His performances with the Paraguayan national team at the World Cup have also boosted his profile, as he started all five matches for his team.
Lille closing in on their new goalkeeper
The transfer now seems to be on the right track, even though there has yet to be an official announcement. At 26, Gill already boasts considerable international experience, having earned eleven caps with Paraguay.
Lille, who finished third in Ligue 1 last season, could soon be adding a new goalkeeper to their squad ahead of the new campaign. His arrival could really shake up the competition for the No.1 spot and provide Lille with a fresh option as they chase their ambitions in both the league and on the European stage.
