U-17 Women's World Cup qualifiers: Zambia eliminate Rwanda and advance to the second round

The Zambia U-17 women's team has secured a ticket to the second round of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup qualifiers, after defeating Rwanda 2-1 on Wednesday.

Despite falling behind early, the Copper Princesses kept their composure. They managed to turn the tables and clinch the match 2-1. Coach Carol Kanyemba praised her squad's mental strength: "My players were mentally prepared to concede an early goal. What mattered most was the reaction."

After a 2-0 win in the first leg, the Copper Princesses confirmed their dominance with a 4-1 aggregate victory.
With this result, Zambia continues their journey toward the U-17 Women's World Cup. Their next opponent in the second round will be the Democratic Republic of Congo.
