U20 Women's World Cup: These 3 teams have never missed the tournament
The 12th edition of the 2026 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup will take place from September 5 to 27 in Poland. Only three teams have managed to play in every final phase, including the upcoming one. Let's discover who they are.
Nigeria
Runners-up in 2010 and 2014, fourth place in 2012, Nigeria stands among the elite trio that have never missed a final tournament. Since the inaugural edition in 2002, the Super Falconets have qualified for every single finals phase.
The Nigerian squad will compete in Group F alongside Spain (September 7), China (September 10), and New Caledonia (September 13).
Spain are the reigning world champions from 2022, China have twice reached the final, while New Caledonia will make their debut at the U20 World Cup.

Brazil
Brazil has also featured in every finals phase since 2002. However, the Brazilian side has never reached the final in their history.
Their best results are third place finishes in 2006 and 2022, and fourth place in 2004.
In Poland, Brazil will compete in a group with Tanzania, England, and Canada.
United States
Team USA has never missed an edition since 2002, having lifted the trophy three times (2002, 2008, and 2012) – matching the tallies of Germany and North Korea.
The Americans have finished third twice (2004 and 2024) and fourth twice (2006 and 2016).
Their group features Italy, Japan, and New Zealand.
