A young referee aged just 32, the Alajuela native made his debut in Costa Rica's top tier, the "Primera División – UNAFUT," back in September 2012.

This season, he has officiated four matches, handing out 20 yellow cards and just one red, which came during the Pérez Zeledon – Sporting FC game (2-1).

A FIFA referee since 2019, he has overseen seven World Cup qualifiers (CONCACAF Zone), including the most recent fixtures: Barbados vs Haiti (1-3) in June 2024 and Bermuda vs Jamaica (0-4) in September 2025.

The Costa Rican also took charge of two matches at the 2023 U17 World Cup, including Morocco U17's defeat to Ecuador U17 (0-2).

Keylor Herrera will be assisted by William Chow and Víctor Ramírez, while Americans Joseph Dickerson and Logan Brown complete the officiating team for this clash.

Ahead of this Morocco-Brazil encounter scheduled for Wednesday, October 1 at 11 p.m. GMT, the Lion Cubs had already toppled Spain (2-0), while Brazil shared the spoils with Mexico (2-2).
