Until 2029: imminent extension for Al Ahly's rising star!

In its drive to strengthen the core of its squad, Egyptian giants Al Ahly are on the verge of reaching an agreement to extend the contract of their gifted midfielder Emam Ashour for two more seasons.
This new deal will be added to the remaining duration of his current contract, ensuring his stay at the club through the summer of 2029.

Ashour has established himself as one of the team's most pivotal players in recent times. He stood out by clinching the league's top scorer title last season and played a decisive role in the club's fierce title battle against Pyramids.

The board, led by president Mahmoud El Khatib, rejected all tempting offers received during the summer transfer window, notably from Saudi clubs (including Neom and Al-Akhdoud), determined to keep their star talent in red.

Cairo International Stadium, Al Ahly's official ground for next season

Additionally, the club is planning to make Cairo International Stadium its official home venue for the 2025-2026 season, both for the Egyptian Premier League and the CAF Champions League, with Al Salam Stadium on standby as an alternative ground.
