Walid Regragui solid in position... until the AFCON

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) does not plan to terminate its collaboration with national coach Walid Regragui.

In charge since 2022, the former Wydad Casablanca coach is facing significant criticism from Moroccan fans due to the recent unconvincing performances of the "Atlas Lions."

According to the Arabic-language newspaper almountakhab, the governing body of Moroccan football has confirmed the 49-year-old technician in his position until the next Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025).

He must win the premier African competition if he hopes to continue his journey with the national team until the 2026 World Cup.

Regragui's record with the Atlas Lions

In 34 matches with the Moroccan team, the former Toulouse player has achieved a record of 23 wins, 7 draws, and 4 losses. Furthermore, he was a key figure in the national team's qualification for the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup.
