Will MLS be Paul Pogba’s next destination?
French star Paul Pogba could soon give his career a new impetus. A free agent after the end of his spell at AS Monaco, the French midfielder could continue his career in Major League Soccer (MLS).
After Monaco, is Paul Pogba heading to MLS?
According to British newspaper the Daily Mail, the name of the 2018 World Cup winner has been offered to several American clubs since August in the hope of finding him a new destination.
Among the franchises that could welcome him are DC United, Inter Miami, where Lionel Messi plays, and New York City FC. However, no concrete negotiations have reportedly reached an agreement yet.
According to the same source, a move to the Saudi Pro League would not, at this stage, be the most likely option for the former France international.
At 33, Paul Pogba endured a difficult season marked by recurring injuries. He made just six appearances, for a total of 115 minutes of playing time, without scoring a single goal or providing an assist.
