Women's AFCON 2026 prep: Ghana vs Tanzania put to the test this Monday
Just days before the start of the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, Ghana and Tanzania face off this Monday in Casablanca. Kick-off is set for 5pm GMT.
On the Ghanaian side, the aim is to keep the momentum going. The Black Queens are coming off a 1-0 friendly win over Ivory Coast. Their goal is to build on that result and gain as much confidence as possible before launching their AFCON campaign on July 25 against Mali.
On the other side, Tanzania arrive in good spirits. In June, they defeated Malawi and drew with the same team, keeping a positive run of form ahead of the tournament for the Twiga Stars.
This clash in Casablanca will serve as a full-scale dress rehearsal for both squads. It’s the perfect opportunity for the coaching staff to fine-tune their starting elevens and tactical routines.
