2026 World Cup - Brazil: Guimarães finally breaks his silence after elimination

Bruno Guimarães has finally broken his silence three days after his missed penalty against Norway (1-2) in the Round of 16 of this 2026 World Cup.

The Brazilian midfielder spoke out on his Instagram account. The Newcastle United star described experiencing "the greatest pain" of his life after Brazil's elimination.

"Football, which has given me everything I have, is today also responsible for making me feel the greatest pain in my 28 years of life. Missing that penalty and being eliminated in the Round of 16 hurts deeply. (...) The dream isn't over. It still lives in my heart," wrote Guimarães.
