Late on Saturday night, Brazil and Morocco faced off in one of the first big showdowns of the 2026 World Cup. Vinicius Jr responded after the match.

The scorer in Brazil's 1-1 draw with Morocco, Vinicius Jr chose to put Brazil's sluggish World Cup opener into perspective. Speaking to Globo, with comments relayed by UOL, Vinicius reminded everyone that the first match of a World Cup is often the trickiest to handle.

"To win the World Cup, you have to suffer, concede goals, come from behind, and we need to be ready for that," declared the Brazilian international. Vinicius was even named Man of the Match.
