The Democratic Republic of Congo is still in the running for direct qualification for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

In their last outing, the Leopards edged out Togo 1-0 thanks to a goal by Cédric Bakambu. However, the striker will be missing for the clash against Sudan.

To book a direct ticket, DRC must beat Sudan and hope Senegal slip up against Mauritania. This encounter could prove decisive for the fate of Group B.
