AFCON U-20: Senegal threatens to appeal to FIFA and CAS!
The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has opposed Tunisia's participation in the Africa Cup of Nations U-20.
Following Ivory Coast's withdrawal, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) approved the North African team's request to replace them in the tournament, which will take place in Egypt from April 26 to May 18, 2025.

This decision did not sit well with the Senegalese football authority, which threatens to appeal to FIFA and CAS to exclude Tunisia from the tournament.
Such a decision would disrupt equality with other qualified national teams, but more importantly, it would severely disadvantage the teams that have sportingly and legitimately earned the right to participate in this AFCON on the field. Our Federation reserves the right to appeal to the competent bodies of FIFA or the Court of Arbitration for Sport to ensure that the principles of ethics and fair play are preserved under all circumstances. Our Federation reaffirms its total opposition to any modification of the number of participants in the U-20 AFCON to satisfy the unfounded and illegitimate request of a non-qualified national association.
