Algeria vs. Bolivia broadcast: Bolivian team makes a revelation
The mystery surrounding the closed-door Algeria vs. Bolivia match is clearing up. According to Bolivian outlet RedUno, it was the Algerian national team itself that requested this final preparation game be held without fans and off television.
The closed-door conditions of the friendly between Algeria and Bolivia remain a hot topic. While several explanations have circulated in recent days, Bolivian media RedUno claims the request came directly from Algeria’s camp, just days before their World Cup 2026 debut.

Indeed, Bolivian head coach Óscar Villegas explained that the Fennecs want to keep their preparations under wraps ahead of their clash with Argentina.
“Now, we don’t even know if we’ll be allowed to film the match, because Algeria is playing just days before facing Argentina. Obviously, they want to avoid too much information leaking about their tactical setup.”
However, the Bolivian manager doesn’t appear to oppose the decision.
“It’s reasonable, it’s normal. They’re the ones calling the shots for this match,” he added.
According to RedUno, Algeria is prioritizing discretion to calmly prepare for their World Cup opener against the reigning world champions from Argentina.
