Kenya winless in their previous international window

The Harambee Stars failed to win any of their previous three games. They drew 1-1 with Eritrea on September 26, lost 1-0 away to Guinea on October 1 and drew 0-0 with Rwanda in an October 5 friendly. Their record was two draws and one defeat, with one goal scored and two conceded.

Kenya are third in Group D with one point from two games, while South Africa lead with six. Kenya have already qualified for AFCON 2027 as co-hosts.
