Amadou Mbengue joins Queens Park Rangers
Senegalese defender Amadou Mbengue has signed with Queens Park Rangers, with the move effective from July 1, 2025, after turning down a contract extension at Reading FC. The official announcement was made by the R’s on June 26.
After three seasons with Reading FC (109 appearances), the 23-year-old is embarking on a new adventure on English soil. QPR officially announced today the arrival of Amadou Mbengue, a centre-back who is also capable of playing as a right-back or defensive midfielder.
“I spoke with Christian (Nourry, CEO) and his vision and project for the club are excellent. We’re on the same page and that’s why I chose QPR. They have many ambitions for the future,” the Senegalese defender shared.
